What to Expect

What to Expect

Visiting a new church can be intimidating. Here is some information that
might make a visit to West Broward more comfortable.

Worship at 9:00 am

The simplicity and purity of vocal singing, as prescribed in the New
Testament, is inspiring. We sing new and traditional songs that are
designed to exalt God and encourage one another. After several songs, a
prayer, and a reading from Scripture, there will be a lesson from God’s
word. We think you will find the lesson refreshingly biblical and relevant. At
the end of the message, the minister will offer an invitation for prayer orbaptism. Additionally, the Lord’s Supper is taken every Sunday following the
pattern found in the New Testament. We remember Jesus’ Body and Blood
given so that we might live. After the Lord’s Supper, we take up a collection
in accord with 1 Corinthians 16:1-2.

Bible CLass at 10:30 am

After our time of worship, we have Bible study for about 45 minutes. There
are class options for everyone – infants through adults. Members and staff
are always on hand to help you find your way around.

THE LORD’S SUPPER AND COLLECTION

Each Sunday we remember the amazing sacrifice of Jesus by sharing a meal in His memory. This meal, sometimes called either the Lord’s supper or communion, involves eating bread and drinking grape juice which symbolizes Jesus’ body and blood. This meal is intended for those who have entered into a covenant relationship with God and helps us remember our commitment to Him while also helping us connect with other followers of God. Trays with the bread and grape juice will be passed through the pews, allowing each person an opportunity to participate.

After the Lord’s supper, we take up a collection like the New Testament instructs us. The money we collect is to help care for Christians who are in need and to help advance God’s kingdom both here in South Florida and throughout the world. As a guest, you are not expected to make an offering. Offerings are made by the members here at the West Broward church as a part of their commitment to God.
